Here is a list of all skin rejuvenation options offered at Esprit® Cosmetic Surgeons in Portland, OR. Dr. Connall and his team will help you find the right option for your skin.

Broad Band Light by Sciton

Broad Band Light is commonly called “BBL.” It is also referred to as Photo Rejuvenation. A generic term for BBL is “Intense Pulse Light.” The Sciton BBL is an ultramodern, highly versatile technology. This treatment is effective in treating sun damage, freckles, age spots, facial vessels, rosacea, and angiomas. BBL treatments are performed on the face, neck chest, hands, or other areas of the body that need improvement. Broad Band Light treatments give the skin a beautiful, healthy glow. The BBL treatment is comfortable, and there is essentially no downtime.

HALO Fractionated Laser

The Sciton HALO is a minimally ablative fractionated laser that resurfaces the skin through an array of precise microbeams. The microbeams heat the outer and mid-levels of the skin in microscopic columns which trigger the body’s natural production of new collagen, connective tissues, and cells. The HALO uses two laser beams, one that is non-ablative and one that is minimally ablative. This combination creates a “best of both worlds” treatment that gives advanced results with comparatively minimal down time. Because there is limited skin cell “vaporization”, or actual removal of skin, there are no open wounds and there is much less recovery time compared to traditional laser resurfacing.

The HALO fractionated laser can improve generalized fine wrinkles, pore size, and size tone. It is also approved to treat melasma, acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks. Patients of all skin types can benefit from HALO treatments. We commonly treat the face and neck areas, as well as the delicate skin on the chest.

ProFractional Laser by Sciton

The ProFractional Laser System by Sciton is a more classic ablative, fractionated laser. This erbium laser delivers deep skin resurfacing and transformative results. The ProFractional laser is used on patients with moderate to advanced skin aging and those that have not improved enough with less aggressive laser treatments or peels. The principles of fractionated energy delivery apply- The microbeams vaporize columns of skin from the surface to the deep layer. This deep treatment triggers a very robust production of new collagen, connective tissues, and cells from the remaining “good” skin surrounding the “vaporization” columns void of tissue.

The Sciton Contour Laser

The Contour Laser System is an ablative, non-fractionated laser. Known as a “full field” laser, this laser ablates the skin as a complete sheet. No microbeams are used and no columns of skin injury are created. This is the most complete laser treatment performed. This is used for patients with advanced skin aging. The downtime can be one to two weeks, and the skin can be red for several weeks. The results can be dramatic.
