With safety in mind, all chemical peel treatments are temporarily unavailable due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chemical peels are a great way to rejuvenate your skin with zero, mild or moderate down-time. An application of exfoliating acids is placed on the skin, causing the dead skin cells to dissolve, revealing healthy, new skin. Chemical peels come in a variety of formulations and strengths. Depending on the type of chemical peel you choose the benefits include:

  • Improved skin texture and radiance
  • Diminished fine lines and wrinkles
  • Lightened dark spots and more even skin tone
  • Reduced acne blemishes
  • Improvement of skin imperfections such as sundamage and melasma
  • The results are predictable and noticeable after just one peel

SkinCeuticals Micropeel®

This customized chemical peel is perfect for someone who loves the benefits of a peel, but the traditional healing time doesn’t fit their schedule. We call this our “No Downtime Peel.“ A MicroPeel is a three step process that includes manual exfoliation through derma planning, resurfacing with a chemical peel, and increasing cell turnover and soothing the skin with cryogenic therapy. With the removal of the outer layer of dead skin cells during the treatment, there is little to no peeling that occurs after you leave our office. And as an added bonus, your fine facial hairs will be removed leaving your skin silky smooth.

SkinCeuticals MicroPeel Plus®

The MicroPeel Plus treatment is a unique one step, self-neutralizing treatment of chemical exfoliation designed to reduce acne and help correct environmental skin damage. This treatment is designed to control breakouts, while improving texture. The MicroPeel Plus is formulated with salicylic acid (which refines pores and reduces oil production) and glycolic acid (to improve rough texture and uneven skin tone). This treatment may be used on the face, chest, and back. About one week after a MicroPeel Plus the skin undergoes a light to moderate peeling or flaking.

Advanced Corrective Peel

Advanced Corrective Peel dramatically diminishes the appearance of discoloration, while smoothing texture and refining the appearance of pores, to restore brighter skin tone. For optimal results, a series of 4-6 treatments (spaced four weeks apart) is recommended. This peel contains 14% salicylic acid, 14% lactic acid, and 10% phenylethyl resorcinol. Salicylic acid exfoliates, unclogs pores, and regulates oil production. Lactic acid exfoliates, hydrates and has disinfectant properties. Phenylethyl Resorcinol is an antioxidant that lightens hyperpigmentation.

Vitalize Peel®

The SkinMedica Vitalize Peel combines a unique blend of alpha-hydroxy acid, beta-hydroxy acid, resorcinol and retinoic acid. It improves acne and severe hyper-pigmentation including melasma and sun damage. The Vitalize Peel is a medium peel with minimal down time. About two days after your Vitalize peel, you may experience flaking and peeling of the skin.

We Are Here To Help

The best way to get your questions answered is to come in for an appointment.

Is a chemical peel right for me?

Most people are candidates for a chemical peel. During a consultation, which includes a Visia complexion skin analysis, we will design a custom treatment plan for you. Usually, you will see improvement after just one treatment. The treatment itself is quick, usually less than 30 minutes and there is minimal to no discomfort. Chemical peels require no anesthetic. After the treatment your skin may be mildly pink or red, you may have a sunburn-like sensation, and mild swelling of the skin. You may return to your normal activities.
